It looks like one-term City Attorney Ann Davison is in real trouble, trailing challenger Erika Evans by a wide margin in Tuesday’s primary election results.
The law-and-order incumbent is down almost 14 percentage points against Evans and that margin could grow as more votes are counted in the coming days. Ballots slipped into drop boxes and mailed on Election Day are tallied later and tend to lean left, where Evans has positioned herself in the race.
Evans has 51.1% and Davison 37.2% in the race for city attorney. Rory O’Sullivan and Nathan Rouse are way behind, with 6.3% and 5.0%, respectively.
